Region 3: The Village
Overview
Tavern, Merchant, Farm
The Village is the calm counterpart to the town: the Village Tavern kept by Januarius, the merchant Herm, and the Wheat Farm at the edge of the fields. It is supply country — grain, trade, and the rural quest chains that keep your production lines fed. Nothing here needs an army. It needs a workforce.
Why Your Workers Care
The farming and brewing tallies all point through the village economy: Master Farmer counts 100 harvests from Garden Beds and Vine Trellises, and Alcohol Baron counts 100 batches across beer, Soldier's ale, mead, cider, and wine. That is a labor schedule, not a weekend. Workers assigned through Work Zones are how a keeper actually finishes both without hand-harvesting every bed. The Farming mastery — 17 nodes and 4,650 green points — is the deepest single investment your farm crew can inherit.
How to Unlock
Opens along the main story track as questing expands beyond the town — the road leads out to farmland, a tavern, and a slower pace of trouble.

Bring Labor, Not Swords
The village's problems are logistics problems, so arrive with Work Zones already mapped and at least one worker free to take them. Grain in the ground is only profit once someone reliable is standing over it. If your Farming mastery is still thin, the village is exactly where green tech points start mattering more than red.
- Garden Beds and Vine Trellises — the two structures Master Farmer tallies (100 harvests)
- A brew chain for the Alcohol Baron run — beer, Soldier's ale, mead, cider, or wine

Quests
The Village Regulars
Januarius behind the tavern bar and Herm behind the merchant's stall are the two faces of the village. The tavern is the area's social anchor; Herm's stall is where goods move. Neither hands you a boss fight — they hand you supply lines.
