Region 6: Inquisition Base & Sewers
Overview
Where You Started
The game opens in the Inquisition Dungeon — chained to a wall, no tools, one dead keeper's job pending — and the endgame walks you right back. The Inquisition Base above and the Sewers below form the final chapter of the map. The Sewers hide the Old God, and the Old God hides a choice. It is the tidiest full circle in the game.
The Red Eye and the Old God
Friend or Foe is the quest that reprices your ending: hand the Red Eye to the Old God for a special sermon, or keep it and renovate your attic into the Old God's new home. Keeping it is pride with a bill attached — all six townsfolk demand 100 reputation instead of 90, plus extra requests like the Elegant Prosthetic. Either way, The Ancient One marks the moment. Decide with your quest ledger open, not your heart.
The Last Battle
The Final Battle caps the town battle series and the story at once, and its gate is pure reputation: 90 with all six townsfolk — Jack, Gunter, the Nun, Herbert, Albert, and Linda. Character quests pay +10 each, so the bar only clears with all 51 done alongside the 41 main quests. That is why the ending is called an ending. The End of the Journey is the last story achievement for a reason.
How to Unlock
You start the game in its dungeon; the area returns as an endgame destination once the late story sends you back down — the Sewers and the Old God wait beneath.

The Reputation Ledger Comes Due
Before anything else, run the math: 90 reputation with all six, or 100 if you kept the Red Eye, and every character quest is worth exactly +10. That means the ledger, not the army, is the real final boss — finish the quest list before you sharpen a single spear. Then bring the army anyway; the Final Battle is still a battle. Craft the powerful armor and weapons the late game has been promising.

Key Items
- Red Eye — the Friend or Foe decision item: hand it over, or keep it and raise the ending bar to 100
- Elegant Prosthetic — one of the extra requests on the keep-the-Red-Eye path
- Endgame armor and weapons — the Final Battle does not grade on effort
Quests
Friend or Foe
The Old God in the Sewers wants the Red Eye, and the game genuinely lets you choose. Handing it over buys a special sermon and keeps the ending at the standard 90-per-townsfolk bar. Keeping it means an attic renovation at home, a 100-reputation bar for all six townsfolk, and extra requests like the Elegant Prosthetic — the completionist's price of pride.
The Last Battle
The final gate: 90 reputation with Jack, Gunter, the Nun, Herbert, Albert, and Linda — 100 if you kept the Red Eye — then the Final Battle itself. Every character quest on the ledger is +10 toward that bar, which is why none of them were ever optional. Win, and The End of the Journey closes the story.
